Founder and Principal
Courtney Lang, is a national champion who advances the fundamental right to health for patients, public health, and social change constituencies. Courtney is a pioneer in improving patient and provider advocacy, promoting mental and emotional wellness, and spearheading a humanistic approach to healthcare delivery.
As a healthcare leader, Courtney consults with organizations on access, affordability, structural racism, and the importance of systemic change. Her mission to improve the human condition and identify social needs, provides leadership opportunities to create national campaigns. Courtney facilitates public conversations and coalition building to influence behavior and inspire action where individuals live, work, and play.
Before founding Langco + Partners in 2012, Courtney served as senior director of federal alliance development for Pfizer Inc. (and Wyeth Pharmaceuticals). She successfully built sustainable private-public sector partnerships and determined the strategic focus for neuroscience and specialty pharmacy outreach through national advocacy and alliance development activities.
Other industry accomplishments include Courtney’s corporate affairs roles with Eli Lilly & Company, having the distinct honor of serving as the company’s first U.S. public affairs liaison. In that leadership position, she supported both federal and state government affairs and elevated minority health as a strategic vertical for advocacy outreach on behalf of communities of color.
Courtney is a member of the board of directors for Trinity Health and serves on the Integrity and Audit Committee, she previously served on the board of directors for Holy Cross Health as chair of the Mission and Population Health Committee, while also serving on the Quality and Patient Safety Committee. Additionally, Courtney serves on the board of directors for Mental Health America and chairs the Ad Hoc Committee on Anti-Racism, Equity, and Social Justice (ARES). Courtney also recently concluded her tenure on the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Urban Los Angeles board of directors.
Previously, Courtney served her alma mater Pepperdine University as a board member of the Alumni Association and adjunct professor of Media Law and Leadership Communications in the Washington DC Program..
A native of Washingtonian, Courtney earned her bachelor’s degree in political science from Pepperdine University and her juris doctor from The Ohio State University College of Law. She also studied comparative health law and policy at St. Anne’s College, Oxford University in the United Kingdom.
